:) P.S. Sa mga nais kumontak sa amin, e-mail niyo lang kami... tarlacmc@gmail.com or text 0917 343 2797 / 0915 944 2224 | Photos | Jun 21, 2010 |

doney321 wrote on Jun 14, '10, edited on Jun 14, '10 It's all about respect for the world and it's down to you and me. It's in our hands - we hold the key.
As we stare at the endless seas, in my heart im afraid that we're destroying our destiny. We have became our worst enemy. We need to do all about what we expect for our world down to what nature left us. Let's save and share our resources, protect the chain/cycle with care or change if got a better idea. Let's nurture our land, skies and seas because it's all about the future. It's all about one home and we call it world. Let's think about our children/future kids and work on the solutions for them can still play and call it home.
What can we do for this world to remain? We have to maintain the equilibrium between man and nature. A huge sense of balance about things especially about our environment is a great factor a man need to help our world today. Mother nature needs us 'till the end of time. As we fight global warming, we'll stand united as one. I know it will not be easy. But if we all work together we can get the job done one step at a time. We don't need to be a pure environmentalist to start a movement or campaign how to save mother earth. By just simply start it within ourselves, doing it right, by raising awareness to others and hopefully the rest will follow.
The planet has a problem and we know what it is. There's so much we can do and we individuals can make a difference and make it our reality. You know, for me If one person shines, others will follow in line.
So, sail away with TMC, let's clean up this old world and change the course of history.
happy environment month! =D

 | Rapid forest loss has eliminated habitat of unique and there a tened plans and animals species.it has also left large tracts of land in the philippines vulnerable to soil erosion.the loss of nutrient rich soil reduce crop yield and contributes to the expanded use of chemicals fertilizers-a practice that can,in turn, pollute water sources. river and streams also carry eroded soil to the coasts, where it interferes with fish nursery areas.soil runoff into fish breeding and nursery areas is one of several factors leading to the overall decline in productivity of fisheries in the philippines. |
 | malapt na.. titingin ka nalang ba?? gumalaw kana kaibigan baka mahuli ka!
The Philippines has only 18 percent remaining forest cover, with 60 percent of the country’s land area suffering from soil erosion. This grim situation is brought about by the open access condition (forest areas that are not under any kind of management, where anybody can come in and out to exploit the resources) in the countryside. This is further aggravated by illegal activities such as timber poaching/illegal logging and land conversion practices like kaingin. Timber poaching/illegal logging results in uncontrolled, indiscriminate and irresponsible cutting of trees that inflicts so much havoc to our forest cover in particular, and the whole ecosystem in general. Kaingin (slash-and-burn farming) and other land conversion practices not only destroy the vegetation but also contribute to the loss of top soil, silting up our rivers, creeks, lakes and coastal areas.
It has been estimated that 10 million metric tons of solid waste are improperly disposed of each year. Studies also show that only 40 percent of solid waste is collected—the rest clogs rivers and streets. Also, 58 percent of the country’s groundwater is contaminated. Surface water resources are also polluted as industries and households indiscriminately empty their untreated wastewater into drainage, creeks, lakes and rivers...
we all know how prevent all of this the main problem is US..alam nga nating pero hindi natin ginagawa ang mga paraan para mapanatili ang mga bagay na yan..paano naman tatagal ang mundo natin kung tayong mga TAo mismo ang ayaw tumulong para iligtas ito..oras na para gumalaw tayo!!

 | a lot of people know about what's happening in our environment today, but many of us don't know how to promote and protect our environment. Instead of doing something good they always neglect what better things to do to help our mother nature. Here comes planet, facing a river full of garbage, a beach full of trash, trees being cut, cities being polluted by vehicles and factories(air is very vital to all of us). mostly, it is "you" that cause this. let us help our one world to change.
how?
*provide educational waste management *jog and bike (to conserve gas, promote exercise and strengthen your body) *be a paper wise *tree planting *support green zinc *pick up some trash( it feels great knowing that you made a difference by doing something good in your community) *provide environmental educational program *save energy and water
maybe what i have written is not enough. But Instead of just reading it, make a mindful action to help our world have chance and have a change..

 | The planet is in trouble! Who must take care???
Today, our planet is in great danger which can be seen through undeniable facts of global warming and the incredible growth of dangerous deseases. Our environment is something that we must forever take care of, treasure and respect. We only have one planet, one earth, one environment and if we ruin it, we risk destroying it forever and causing irreversible damage that will bedevastating for us and our generation but even more so far the future generations that haven't the chance to live, experience and enjoy what we have. Every one of us, whatever age, we can do something to help slowdown and reverse some of the damage. We all have a great responsibility for our environment. We can all look after our environment and do things to become more environmentally friendly. One of the easiest basic means of becoming more environmentally considerate is to REUSE, REDUCE, RECYCLE. We must learn ti live in a sustainable ways. Learn to use our natural resources which includes air, farmland, forest, mountains, wildlife, freshwaters and seas without damaging them. As our population grows and our lifestyle change, we must keep the world in good condition in order to live comfort and healthy environment. As we protecting our environment means we are protecting our future generation... |

einsty wrote on Jun 6, '10, edited on Jun 6, '10 Not much of a Michael Jackson fan but it wouldn’t hurt listening to his Hit song Man In the Mirror… A no-nonsense message: “If you wanna make the world a better place take a look at yourself and then make a change”! True, there is no other perfect place to start change but in you; your own household. I am a scatterbrain myself so I would not touch on those waste segregation techniques elaborately because I know deep down it’s something that I have to work on too. (I can’t even start my own blog) Yes, it’s already given that Mother Earth is dying and we’ve all been given ways and means on how to save her. Some, if not most of us will do their part in reducing, re-using re-cycling, practice a little of cost-cutting etcetera. But how far do we get when it comes to saving ourselves; our health? How else can we promote these Earth saving dogmas when we ourselves are at risk of deteriorating? Most Filipinos wherever are always at risk of heart failure.
Why?
High blood pressure; and anyone who has this is always at risk of heart attack. People without exercise, poor eating habits, sedentary job and the list goes on… Too much smoking – I’m not asking you to quit, just give it some thoughts though because I’m well aware that smokers know what tobacco can do to the blood vessels and heart arteries…and that it will take 5 agonizing years for your system to clean up and repair the effects of smoking. Too much alcohol – well a lot like to chug down booze every now and then but too much will ruin your liver, shoot up your blood pressure leading to a stroke or worse. Overweight – no brainer So I guess this day should also be spent in promoting a healthy lifestyle. Let’s get ourselves geared up, hike, run, bike, swim…
I have so many reasons to be thankful for TMC, I guess we met at the right time… when I’ve finally learned to care =)

 | The Earth is dying.
Air, water, and land pollution. Forest Denudation. Global warming. Soil erosion. Flash floods. Landslides.
Indeed, those things mentioned above are BIG problems. Solutions to these crises were already thought about. Concrete plans were made to answer the need but nothing is happening. Why? Simply because not everyone is doing their part.
A simple part of doing what should be done. Reduce. Re-use. Recycle. Segregate. Conserve water, air, petroleum, and electricity.
All of them sounds that they are cliché but heck if they are. I see no need to visit book stores swarming with shoppers for this coming school year because I could still do with what I have. The school supplies I’m using are still doing their job so I see no point of replacing them with new ones just to be in one with the NEW school year. Another thing I wish to address is proper waste management. Since its implementation in our beloved city, and particularly here inside the campus of Don Bosco, trash are still scattered making our environment a big eyesore to the eyes of any beholder. I haven’t been that vigilant in reprimanding people who makes the whole world their trash can and I believe now is the best time to start. Last thing I want to work out is the conservation and maximization of paper. I can’t help but squirm whenever I see a student of mine scribble a few words, shakes his head, and crumples the paper. Sometimes they even throw it to someone they have but that’s beside the point. In the faculty room, we have wasted a lot of paper fulfilling all necessary paperworks a teacher must do. I have started collecting scrap papers. I segregated those printed only in one side and those with both sides. I plan to maximize the side which is not yet printed for my thesis drafts and survey paper. On the other hand, I’ll donate papers printed on both sides to Tarlac Provincial Jail for their livelihood projects. To conserve paper and ink, I’d be requiring my co-teachers to submit draft paperworks to me in soft copy format.
Of course my simple work isn’t done yet until I build up someone. Since I’m animating the Bosconian Outdoor Society, one of our thrust this school year will be to make more and more people be aware of our environment. We could maximize avenues like bulletin boards, tarpaulins, the school paper, blogsites, and yes, even our very own Facebooks.
Indeed, with SMALL steps, BIG problems could be conquered. Let’s do our thing in our simple way and let’s inspire others to do same.
Fresh air, clear water, and beautiful landscape. Lush forests. Perfect temperature.
The Earth will live on!
